LTE Cat 1 Connectivity The gateway provides cellular connectivity through 4G LTE Cat 1, with fallback to 3G and 2G networks. A single internal Mini SIM slot and SMA antenna connector provide the mobile interface, allowing connected equipment to communicate over cellular networks.

Extensive GPIO Interfaces A range of input and output interfaces allows the gateway to monitor equipment and control connected devices. The available interfaces include configurable digital inputs and open collector outputs, dry/wet inputs, an isolated input, an analogue input and both latching and non-latching relay outputs.

Analogue and Sensor Support The analogue input supports a 0-30 V range and can also be configured for 4-20 mA current measurement, allowing compatible industrial sensors to be connected. A dedicated 1-Wire interface provides connectivity for supported 1-Wire sensors and devices.

4G LTE Fallback When 5G coverage is unavailable, the gateway can use 4G LTE Cat 19 connectivity with download speeds of up to 1.6 Gbps. LTE Cat 18 provides upload speeds of up to 200 Mbps, giving connected equipment an alternative cellular connection across supported networks.

2.5 Gigabit Ethernet The RJ45 Ethernet interface supports 10, 100, 1000 and 2500 Mbps connection speeds. The 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides a high-bandwidth wired interface for equipment that needs to transfer large amounts of data through the cellular network.

Industrial Interfaces Two configurable digital I/O connections are available through the four-pin power connector. The gateway also includes a Mini SIM slot, four SMA connectors for mobile antennas and a micro USB interface that provides a virtual network connection.

IIoT Protocol Support The gateway supports industrial communication protocols including Modbus, DNP3 and DLMS. These capabilities allow it to communicate with industrial equipment and systems used for SCADA, telemetry and smart grid applications.

RutOS and Remote Management RutOS, based on OpenWrt, provides the gateway's network management environment and includes functions such as APN management, SIM PIN control, bridge mode, IP passthrough, routing and mobile connection management. 4G LTE Cat 4 Connectivity The modem provides 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity with theoretical speeds of up to 75 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. It also supports 3G and 2G networks, allowing compatible equipment to maintain cellular connectivity where LTE coverage is unavailable. The modem uses 3GPP Release 9 technology.

USB Data and Power A single micro USB interface provides the connection between the modem and host equipment while also supplying its 5 V power input. This allows the unit to add cellular connectivity to compatible PCs, controllers and other USB-equipped industrial equipment without requiring a separate Ethernet interface.

External Cellular Antenna The modem includes an SMA connector for an external mobile antenna. The standard package includes a swivel SMA male antenna, while the antenna connection also allows a compatible higher-gain antenna to be used where required, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
