Wow! I can hardly believe I am saying this, but today, Comms Express is 17 years old!! Yes, crazy right? It only seems like yesterday, the years have sped by, but my they have been fun.

Firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of our staff, those still with us of course but those who have chosen others paths; each have added something to our story and I am forever indebted.

It’s always nice to think we are sharing our big day with others – just a quick search shows we are celebrating with a wide variety of people including politicians, sports people, musicians, actors, comedians, writers and even a Roman Emperor!

Happy birthday to John Belushi, Sharon Tate, Neil Diamond, Roman Emperor Hadrian, Ernest Borgnine, Moon Jae-in, Aaron Neville, Edith Wharton, Luis Suarez, Jools Holland, Vic Reeves, Gustav III of Sweden, Desmond Morris, Ade Edmondson, and Nastassja Kinski.

If indeed you are celebrating your big day today we raise our cup of cocoa to you!

It is not only birthdays that are significant today. #OnThisDay in 1984 Apple Computer placed on sale the first Macintosh personal computer in the United States.

Other major ‘happenings’ include:
1679 – King Charles II dissolved the Cavalier Parliament
1848 – the beginning of the California Gold Rush
1908 – Robert Baden-Powell organised the first Boy Scout troop.
1943 – The Casablanca conference of World War II was concluded between Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt

So plenty to cheer about. And as a little thank you from us for your continued support we would like to offer you:
