The Teltonika TRM200 is an industrial-grade LTE Cat 4 modem that provides 4G connectivity with backward compatibility for 3G and 2G networks. It connects to host equipment through a micro USB interface, which provides both power and data communication, while a single external SMA antenna supports the cellular connection. With a compact aluminium housing, a 5 V power requirement and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 75 °C, it provides a practical way to add mobile connectivity to industrial PCs, controllers and other equipment.
The modem provides 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity with theoretical speeds of up to 75 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads. It also supports 3G and 2G networks, allowing compatible equipment to maintain cellular connectivity where LTE coverage is unavailable. The modem uses 3GPP Release 9 technology.
A single micro USB interface provides the connection between the modem and host equipment while also supplying its 5 V power input. This allows the unit to add cellular connectivity to compatible PCs, controllers and other USB-equipped industrial equipment without requiring a separate Ethernet interface.
The modem includes an SMA connector for an external mobile antenna. The standard package includes a swivel SMA male antenna, while the antenna connection also allows a compatible higher-gain antenna to be used where required, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
The EMEA, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand version supports LTE FDD bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20 and 28, along with LTE TDD bands 38, 40 and 41. 3G bands 1 and 8 and 2G bands 3 and 8 are also supported.
The aluminium housing measures 74.5 x 25 x 64.5 mm and weighs 274 g. The unit has an IP30 ingress protection rating and operates between -40 °C and 75 °C, with relative humidity supported from 10% to 90% without condensation.
The compact form factor allows the modem to be installed using optional DIN rail, wall-mount or flat-surface mounting accessories. Teltonika provides TRM Software USB driver support for Windows, Linux and Android platforms, allowing the modem to be integrated with a range of host systems.
