The Teltonika TRB142 is a compact LTE/3G/2G IoT gateway that provides cellular connectivity for equipment using an RS232 serial interface. LTE Cellular Connectivity

The gateway supports 4G LTE Cat 1 as well as 3G and 2G mobile networks, providing cellular communication for connected industrial equipment. A single Mini SIM slot is provided, while an external SMA connector is available for the mobile antenna.

RS232 Serial Interface

The DB9 RS232 interface provides serial communication with compatible industrial equipment. The interface supports standard serial communication settings and can be used for console, modem and serial-over-IP applications, allowing connected equipment to exchange data across a cellular network.

Industrial Protocol Support

Support for Modbus and DNP3 allows the gateway to communicate with compatible industrial control and monitoring equipment. Modbus functions include TCP client, TCP server, RTU server, RTU gateway and Modbus over MQTT, while DNP3 can be used with supported serial communication configurations.

USB and I/O Connectivity

The micro USB port provides a virtual network interface for data communication and device connectivity. Two configurable input/output interfaces are available through the four-pin power connector, with support for a digital input and digital open collector output.

RutOS and Remote Management

RutOS provides the operating environment for network configuration, serial utilities and device management. The gateway supports Web UI, CLI, SSH, SMS, SNMP, JSON-RPC and MQTT management methods, while RMS enables remote monitoring and administration of compatible devices.
