Fast access, fast aggregation
The Catalyst 9300 Series is the next generation of the industry's most widely deployed stackable switching platform, and it was recently recognised as CRN's 2017 Overall Network Product of the Year. Built for security, IoT, and the cloud, these network switches form the foundation for Cisco's Software-Defined Access, leading enterprise architecture.
Cisco Logo

The Cisco C9300-24T-M brings Meraki cloud management to the Catalyst access switching line. Designed with 24 fixed 1G ports and modular uplink flexibility, it's a practical fit for modern campus environments that demand simple configuration, high availability, and cloud-native operations. By unifying hardware performance with cloud-based visibility, this switch offers clear advantages for teams standardizing across distributed networks.

Key Features 24 x 1G RJ-45 downlink ports
Modular uplink support: 4 x 10G or 2 x 40G
Cloud-managed via Meraki dashboard
StackWise-480 stacking: up to 480 Gbps total
Switching capacity of 208 Gbps
Adaptive Policy and Layer 3 capabilities
Support for dual redundant power supplies
1U rack-mount form factor with hot-swappable fans

The Catalyst 9300-M addresses the most demanding enterprise applications by combining the simplicity of the Meraki dashboard with powerful switching hardware. To satisfy high-bandwidth applications and the deployment of high-speed wifi access points, the Catalyst 9300-M provides multigigabit ports, 480G stacking, and modular 10/25/40G uplinks.

The Catalyst 9300-M delivers resiliency with fast stack convergence and StackPower. The Catalyst 9300-M provides Adaptive Policy using an over-the-wire tag which segments traffic into security groups to deliver scalable security. The Catalyst 9300-M is integrated under the Meraki dashboard to provide a simply powerful solution to the most demanding wired access applications.

Adaptive Policy provides simple & scalable security policies to segment traffic using Security Groups. Security Groups are created in the dashboard using natural language such as “IOT device” & “Guest.” The security policy intent (e.g., Permit or Deny) is then simply provisioned between Security Groups which results in the segmentation of each group’s traffic. By making security policy management intuitive and scalable relative to legacy IP-address based Access Control Lists, Adaptive Policy empowers operators to confidently secure their network traffic independent of future network changes.

Designed for Scalable Access The C9300-24T-M is ideal for core network refreshes where consistent access, simplified management, and flexible stacking are important. The 1G fixed ports suit typical client device connections, while modular uplinks ensure adaptability for varying bandwidth needs.

Power and Cooling Flexibility With support for dual power supply slots and redundant hot-swappable fans, this model keeps networks running without service disruptions. Though this version does not include PoE, it's well-suited for non-powered device aggregation or dedicated management layers.

When to Use It Use the C9300-24T-M in distributed offices, access edge layers, or remote aggregation points where cloud-first operation is preferred over traditional CLI management. It's best deployed in environments that prioritize visibility, stability, and centralized control across locations.

Note

All current Cisco Meraki products require valid licensing to operate. Having licenses allows your organisation’s cloud-based online Dashboard, hosted by Meraki, to connect to and configure & manage all your Meraki devices. All devices are controlled under a single pane of glass in the dashboard.

Platform benefits Cisco IOS XE opens a completely new paradigm in network configuration, operation, and monitoring through network automation. Cisco’s automation solution is open, standards-based, and extensible across the entire lifecycle of a network device. The various automation mechanisms are outlined below.

Automated device provisioning is the ability to automate the process of upgrading software images and installing configuration files on Cisco Catalyst switches when they are being deployed in the network for the first time. Cisco provides both turnkey solutions such as Plug and Play and off-the-shelf tools such as Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) that enable an effortless and automated deployment.

API-driven configuration is available with modern network switches such as the Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series. It supports a wide range of automation features and provides robust open APIs over NETCONF and RESTCONF and GNMI using YANG data models for external tools, both off-the-shelf and custom built, to automatically provision network resources.

Granular visibility enables model-driven telemetry to stream data from a switch to a destination. The data to be streamed is identified through subscription to a data set in a YANG model. The subscribed data set is streamed to the destination at specified intervals. Additionally, Cisco IOS XE enables the push model. It provides near-real-time monitoring of the network, leading to quick detection and rectification of failures.

Seamless software upgrades and patching supports OS resilience. Cisco IOS XE supports patching, which provides fixes for critical bugs and security vulnerabilities between regular maintenance releases. This support lets you add patches without having to wait for the next maintenance release.

Built to reimagine connections, reinforce security and redefine experience, the Catalyst 9000 family, including the new Catalyst 9000X models, offers versatile design for more flexible operations. The Catalyst 9000 family also assures a more secure experience, and brings exceptional speed and scale to the table.

Catalyst 9000 switches lead the industry with the first 400G interfaces in Enterprise, first Silicon One ASICs for campus, full mGig and UPOE+ ports, converged switching and routing, and continuous zero-trust security.

Transform the workspace for hybrid work with a powerful platform that provides the broadest range of bandwidth, speed, scale, and power required for today’s more immersive experiences, big and small. Secure the network from inside to outside by leveraging enhanced computational power and advanced AI/ML to apply continuous zero trust security anywhere it’s needed. Future proof design so IT can work smarter not harder, with converged switching/routing capabilities, enhanced app-hosting and more config automations for a smarter, more agile campus and branch.

Key Features 24 x 10/100/1000 Mbps PoE+ ports with up to 30W per port
Cloud-based management via the Meraki dashboard
Dual 120 Gbps stack ports for high-performance stacking
Modular uplink options supporting 10G/40G interfaces
Support for Adaptive Policy and network segmentation
Hot-swappable fans and optional redundant power supply
Compact 1U form factor for easy rack integration

Security Groups are created in the dashboard using natural language such as “IOT device” & “Guest.” The security policy intent (e.g., Permit or Deny) is then simply provisioned between Security Groups which results in the segmentation of each group's traffic. By making security policy management intuitive and scalable relative to legacy IP-address based Access Control Lists, Adaptive Policy empowers operators to confidently secure their network traffic independent of future network changes.

Power and Deployment Each of the 24 RJ-45 ports supports full PoE+ delivery, enabling deployment of devices such as access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones without additional cabling. The available StackPower feature allows power sharing across switches in the stack, improving uptime and resource allocation.

Cloud Management via Meraki The switch is managed through the Meraki dashboard, allowing remote configuration, live troubleshooting, usage statistics, and policy management. This centralized interface brings ease to branch rollouts and day-to-day oversight, helping reduce manual intervention and complexity.

Built for Scale Designed with modular uplinks and scalable stack capacity, the C9300-24P-M integrates into mid-sized and large environments where network flexibility and visibility matter. Whether in campus, commercial, or managed service provider setups, it supports evolving infrastructure needs without changing the core hardware.

Note

All current Cisco Meraki products require valid licensing to operate. Having licenses allows your organisation’s cloud-based online Dashboard, hosted by Meraki, to connect to and configure & manage all your Meraki devices. All devices are controlled under a single pane of glass in the dashboard.
