Overview The Lindy Switching Presentation Scaler is a versatile, professional solution for switching and scaling up to 4 AV source devices and outputting to a single display, while providing multiple seamless control options including separate table grommets for creating a collaborative meeting room environment or engaging presentations in the workplace or in education.

With dual HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort input ports, this switch can be connected to a variety of source device including PCs, media players or laptops and output to a single display or projector, and with support for resolutions up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0, content can be viewed in highly detailed Ultra HD quality.

The in-built up and down scaler function ensures the optimum video quality possible of the display is used, easily controlled via a neat push button on the unit.

Any VGA source device's stereo audio can be separately embedded into HDMI, or extracted to stereo speakers to add dual channel audio to video content when audio pass-through is not available or a speaker system is preferred.

HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA table grommets are included to give a convenient extra dimension of control for the user, simply connecting directly to the source device via the required cable, a perfect solution for enhancing board room meetings or educational lectures.

These grommets feature two push button options, a switching option to make a specific source device active for the display, and a black screen option, to stop showing video.

Combined with IR, RS232 and push button control on the unit itself, this switch is a hassle-free yet effective solution for the user.

The 5 Port Seamless Presentation Switch HDBaseT Transmitter is one part of a high performance, reliable solution for extending AV signals over long distances via Cat.6 network cable.

By combining this transmitter unit with the Lindy HDBaseT receiver n. 38214, the following distance and resolution combinations are possible when using high quality Cat.6 U/UTP or F/UTP cable:



70m: 1920x1080@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit
40m: 3840x2160@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit / 4:2:2 12bit


It can be connected to other HDBaseT receiver supporting up to 4K30 resolutions.

This unit provides 3 HDMI, 1 DP and 1 Type C inputs with 1 HDBaseT and 1 HDMI local outputs; sources can be switched seamlessly pushing the buttons on the front panel, long press can activate different multiview options. This and many more functions such as auto-switch mode, select resolutions, EDID, PIP size, etc. can be managed via RS-232 commands.

2 outputs are mirrored while 3.5mm stereo audio output can be used for connecting speakers or headphones to get de-embedded audio.

PoC (Power over Cable) functionality allows power to be supplied alongside data through Cat.6 network cable in a point-to-point connection between the transmitter and a receiver with the same feature, meaning only a single power supply is required. 

This transmitter provides a full range of solutions and AV interfaces to connect different kind of devices, ideal for presentations, trade shows and conference rooms. Type C sources must support Alternate Mode.

EDID - Extended Display Identification Data. It is a way for a video source to discover the capabilities of the sink (display device) it is connected to. EDID information resides in the sink and is made available through the connection to a source device via HDMI, DP, DVI etc. When a sink is connected to a source it receives power for its EDID circuit from the source.

This allows the user to auto-mix or provide volume adjustment autonomously so specific audio sources can be amplified and background audio can be reduced when required, great for public announcements during presentations.

Source devices can be simply controlled with a variety of management options including Web Gui, IR and telnet control, providing the user with reliable, hassle-free access over source device switching, volume adjustment and the switch’s OSD.

For enhanced flexibility, this switch is supplied with a high quality HDBaseT receiver to reach remote displays and projectors, at distances of up to 70m, ideal for larger lecture halls or presentation rooms.

This receiver also features IR and RS-232 ports to provide control at a distance using the included remote or a PC.

The Lindy HDBaseT Presentation System is a powerful presentation system that allows three source devices to be connected to a remote display at up to 70 metres. This device uses three key components that create smart, autonomous presentation, education or collaboration spaces.

An HDBaseT multi-AV transmitter with support for HDMI, VGA with audio and USB inputs which can be surface mounted. An HDBaseT receiver with dual channel analogue audio extraction, microphone input, RS232 and USB control from an interactive board, designed for discreet installation. Finally, a separate wall mounted room control panel is included to quickly switch between input devices, adjust volumes and power on or off the display.

Both the multi-AV transmitter and control panels are both designed using PoH (power over HDBaseT) which provides power to both units alongside data using a standard Cat.6 network cable. This removes complexity from installations by allowing a single power supply to provide power to the entire system.

4K UHD video, multi-channel & digital audio formats including DTS-X & Dolby Atmos can be transmit 40m (131.23ft) over a single HDBaseT connection allowing the receiver can be conveniently placed in a wall or ceiling cavity depending on the locations of other connected devices such as a display, projector, sub-woofers and speakers. Distances up to 70m (229.66ft) are possible with 1080p video signals.

The inclusion of a relay port on the receiver allows room automation with devices such as a motorised projector screen or lighting to be configured to trigger once video devices are connected or disconnected.

Using reliable HDBaseT technology, single cable installation and PoH means this system is perfectly suited for education in a classroom or training room environment. Control over this system is managed through not only the wall plate, but also from a web GUI which is freely available on any device occupying the same network, including mobile devices. This can be used to switch or set a video input, display device connection status, determine when the relay device is used and much more.
