Install caged nuts on the back of the mounting rails, opposite the equipment to be mounted.
Insert the caged nut into the mounting hole by hooking one ear of the caged nut through the far side of the hole.
Place the caged nut tool (included) on the other ear of the caged nut and pull forward to snap it into position.

Installation:

Installation: The following procedure demonstrates a top mounting flange installation.

Align the four small holes on the 6U mounting rail with four holes on the vertical mounting flange.
Install four cage nuts in the side-facing holes (from Step 1) of the vertical mounting flange. Install an additional two cage nuts in the side-facing holes even with the slots on the 6-U mounting rail.
Install a 6U mounting rail on the vertical mounting flange using four M6 x 12 screws and the cage nuts installed in Step 2.
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the opposite side of the cabinet.
The following procedure demonstrates a bottom flange installation. Choose six holes on the 15U mounting rail and align those holes with holes on the vertical mounting flange in the location you selected.

Installation: 1. Place the 23 in. Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) vertical mounting rail onto the enclosure side brace.

2. When the EIA vertical mounting rail is in the proper location, slide the locking screw up, until the teeth in the bracket engage fully with the teeth in the side brace.

3. Using the Torx T30/Phillips #2 wrench, tighten the screw.

4. Repeat for all flanges to be replaced within the cabinet.
