The DES-1024D 24-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Desktop Switch is designed to enhance workgroup performance while providing a high level of flexibility. Powerful yet easy to use, this device allows users to simply plug any port to either a 10Mbps or 100Mbps network to multiply bandwidths, boost response time and satisfy heavy load demands.

Auto-Sensing 10/100 Ports

The DES-1024D use auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps ports, allowing a small workgroup to flexibly connect to 10 or 100 Mbps devices to create an integrated network. Each port automatically adjusts for straight-through or crossover cables to make the right link.

Flow Control for Secure Transmission

802.3x flow control on each port minimises dropped packets when the port’s receiving buffer is full.

Quality of Service (QoS)

The switches provide 802.1p priority queues for QoS, allowing users to run bandwidth-sensitive applications such as multimedia and VoIP Internet telephone without data flow bottlenecks that can degrade the quality of the network connection.

Save on Energy Costs

The switches support IEEE802.3az EEE which enables the switches to reduce power consumption when the switches are at low utilisation, allowing users to save on power usage and costs. During these periods of low utilisation, the switches can enter a low-power state and use up less power than regular operations.

The TEF1126P-24-250W not only offers 24 10/100 Mbps Base-TX RJ45 ports but also 1 10/100/1000 Mbps Base-T RJ45 ports and 1 1000 Mbps Base-X SFP port. Ports 1-24 comply with the IEEE 802.3af standard and 802.3at standard and each port can support a maximum PoE power output of 30W. The switch offers a maximum PoE power output of 135W and it can supply power when exchanging data with APs, IP cameras, and IP phones through CAT5 cables. It also provides simple management modes such as CCTV, VLAN and Extend to help reduce cabling costs of IP terminals.

For surveillance projects, cameras are often installed in an outdoor environment or a higher position, which also increases the camera and PoE switches probability of a lightning shock. This could result in the individual equipment getting damaged or lead to a whole local area network (LAN) paralysis.

The Tenda TEF11 series switches have a professional lightning protection design – up to 6kV surge protection, with two levels of protection design respectively, effectively preventing the power of lightning from damaging the cable, which is the equivalent to giving the entire network system a security fence. The test standard is much higher than the national CCC request. In thunderstorm weather, it can also provide monitoring network stability, reliable service and maintain the images transmission.

CCTV, Standard, VLAN and Extend Operation Modes Offered

CCTV: 1-8 ports support QoS. If multiple IP cameras are connected to the switch, it is recommended to enable this mode and connect the G1 or SFP1 port of this switch to the upstream device like the monitoring computer - this ensures smoother monitoring video playback.

Standard: The switch’s functions are similar with a common unmanaged switch’s and all the ports of the switch can communicate with each other.

VLAN: In this mode, 1-24 ports of the switch cannot communicate with each other, but can communicate with the G1 and SFP1 ports. It can be used to isolate broadcast storms and DHCP broadcasts.

Extend: In this mode, the data rate of 1-8 port is limited to 10 Mbps, whereas the maximum transmission distance of the port is increased to 250 meters. All the ports of the switch can communicate with each other.

225W PoE power supply

Ports 1-24 comply with the IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at power supply standards. The entire switch offers a maximum PoE power output of 225W, whereas each port offers a maximum PoE power output of 30W. The ports can be used to supply power to APs and IP cameras while exchange data.
