DVI EDID Emulator
Key Features:
Continuously emulates DVI EDID information
Supports resolutions up to 2560x1600@60Hz
For use with 32120 for cloning
Powered via DVI Source Interface
2 Year warranty
An EDID emulator avoids compatibility issues between a source and display by providing "fake" or "ghost" EDID information. EDID is a data format that contains information regarding display characteristics, including screen size, resolution capabilities, frequency limits and more. Without this information a source signal cannot be displayed correctly.
The Lindy DVI EDID Emulator is designed for systems that require EDID signals to be continuously provided without interruption and helps overcome EDID related problems which can occur when using AV/KVM extenders, switches and splitters. It can also be used in place of a monitor to keep the graphics card of a PC or server awake for remote access via IP. With support for resolutions up to 2560x1600@60Hz, the emulator is suitable for use with legacy PCs and displays. When used with the Lindy EDID recorder (32120) this device can provide cloned EDID information to the graphics card.
It is also possible to use the Emulator without cloning a display as it comes complete with pre-set EDID data for the most commonly used resolution/timing combinations, please see the Technical Information section for a full breakdown.

EDID - Extended Display Identification Data.
It is a way for a video source to discover the capabilities of the sink (display device) it is connected to. EDID information resides in the sink and is made available through the connection to a source device via HDMI, DP, DVI etc. When a sink is connected to a source it receives power for its EDID circuit from the source.

The Lindy DVI EDID Emulator with Cloning is designed for systems that require EDID signals to be continuously provided without interruption and helps overcome EDID related problems which can occur when using AV / KVM Extenders, Switches & Splitters. It can also be used in place of a monitor to keep the PC or Server awake for remote access over IP.
Problems can occur when using various AV devices such as KVM Switches, Splitters & Extenders amongst others. These devices are often unable to pass the EDID information back to the source device. This emulator allows the user to clone the EDID information from a display which can be provided to the source prior to the installation of any intermediary devices.
This Emulator also includes pre-set EDID data which includes the most commonly used DVI resolutions and refresh rate combinations, which allows for simple installation as it can be used with many displays quickly without the need to clone EDID information.

Note: Before purchasing this cable, please ensure that your video card can output via a DMS 59 port. You may need to check your system documentation or contact your computer manufacturer for clarification.

This adapter cable accepts video signals via DVI-D input and converts it into a DisplayPort signal. This allows DVI-D equipped workstations or PC’s to be connected to modern DisplayPort monitors, with support for DVI-D single link resolutions up to 1200p 60Hz (1920x1200).
Due to its lower power design the converter can typically be powered directly from a PC’s DVI-D port, in cases where the power output of the DVI-D port is insufficient (lower than 450mW) the integrated USB cable can be connected to a USB port or USB power supply to power the converter.
