Transmits Crystal-Clear 4K Video and Digital Audio with 4:4:4 Color
The HDMI output supports 4K video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz with multi-channel sound and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor. Connect the HDMI port to your display using an HDMI cable (sold separately). A DVI display may also be connected using an HDMI to DVI adapter (sold separately).
USB Ports Connect Keyboards, Thumb Drives and Other Peripherals
Three USB-A hub ports accept USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice, keyboards and printers. They support 5V 2A (10W) of charging power, when connected to a PD 3.0-compliant charger, and fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps (10 times faster than USB 2.0). One port provides 5V 1.5A (7.5W) of power dedicated to fast-charging your mobile device. Note: Host must support USB OTG (On-the-Go).
PD Charging Port Charges the Connected Notebook, Tablet or Other Device
The USB-C port supports Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 charging of connected PD Charging-compliant devices, such as laptops, Kindles, iPads and Android smartphones. Connect the device’s AC wall charger to the USB-C PD port, which supports power input up to 20V 5A (100W). This port, as mentioned above, can also be used for transferring data up to 5 Gbps. PD 3.0 Fast Role Swap technology ensures all data and power connections remain stable if the wall charger becomes accidentally dislodged. Note: USB-C PD port does not support Quick Charge (QC).
Accesses a Wired Gigabit Ethernet Network
The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when Wi-Fi is unavailable or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.
Allows External Memory Access

Transmits 4K Video to 2 HDMI Displays Simultaneously
Two HDMI outputs each support 4K video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with multi-channel sound, 36-bit Deep Color and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. You can display the image from the host computer on both monitors, extend your host desktop across both with different windows open on each, or combine both into one large display as a video wall. Connect both monitors in Extended (4K at 30 Hz under MST/Windows) or Mirror (4K at 60 Hz under SST/Mac) mode.
Note: When connecting a DP 1.4 Alt Mode host, the maximum HDMI resolution is 4K at 60 Hz for one monitor and 4K at 30 Hz for two. When connecting a DP 1.2 Alt Mode host, the maximum HDMI resolution is 4K at 30 Hz for one monitor and 1080p at 60 Hz for two, due to bandwidth limitation.

The Thunderbolt 3 cable supports bidirectional speeds up to 40 Gbps, which is eight times faster than USB 3.0, four times faster than Thunderbolt 1 and twice as fast as Thunderbolt 2. With dual 20 Gbps channels moving data both directions at the same time, the MTB3-DOCK-04 is perfectly suited for video streaming and editing on two monitors, as well as transferring large RAW video or CAD files.

By connecting to a source that supports DisplayPort MST Mode, you may connect one DisplayPort monitor or one HDMI monitor at resolutions up to 8K (7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz) and 4K (3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz as specified in HDMI 2.0), respectively. Both ports can be used simultaneously to support dual video resolutions up to 4K @ 60 Hz. This allows you to display the same image on both monitors, extend your host desktop across both with different windows open on each, or combine both into one large display as a video wall. Note: Host device must support DisplayPort 1.3 in order to achieve 8K resolution.
PD 3.0 Charging Port Charges High-Powered Devices via AC Wall Charger
The USB-C Power Delivery port provides power output up to 20V 3A (60W), which is sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as a MacBook or Chromebook. Connect the port to the device’s AC wall charger to provide power to the host device as well as the dock. The dock works at optimal specifications while using the PD Charging port to power it.

When the USB-C PD port (see above) is powering the dock, both USB-A ports support lightning-fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps. When using bus-powered mode, one port supports 10 Gbps, and the other supports USB 2.0 speeds on a first-come, first-serve basis. Both are backward compatible with previous USB generations.

A Mini DisplayPort (mDP) or DVI display may also be connected using a DP-to-mDP or HDMI-to-DVI adapter (sold separately).
DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) Allows Connection of Multiple Displays
By connecting the detachable USB-C cable to a source that supports DisplayPort MST Mode, you may connect up to three displays simultaneously. This allows you to display the same image on all monitors, extend your host desktop across all with different windows open on each, or combine all into one large display as a video wall. Note: For a triple-monitor installation, all three display outputs must be connected to the U442-DOCK4-INT before connecting the included power supply and powering on the dock. If only two of the three connected displays are operating, power must be cycled by removing power from the unit while all three displays are still connected, and then reconnecting the power supply.
