Discreet and flexible Like all modular camera systems, AXIS FA51 Main Unit is based on a divided network camera concept. The camera is split into a small and highly discreet sensor unit (made up of a lens and image sensor) and the main unit (including the body of the camera). The units are connected by a cable included with the sensor unit. This allows the sensor unit to be installed pretty much anywhere. Ideal for mounting in monitors and ATMs, this highly discreet unit blends in seamlessly with any environment, and the camera lens may be the only visible part.

AXIS F41 Main Unit is designed for use with an AXIS F sensor unit in extremely discreet video surveillance applications.

The rugged AXIS F41 Main Unit connects to one AXIS F Sensor Unit and is ideal for use in highly discreet surveillance applications, such as in stores, ATMs, banks, emergency vehicles and buses. AXIS F41 supports HDTV 1080p at 50/60 frames per second. It provides Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) – Forensic Capture, which enables a high level of detail to be visible in very bright and dark areas of a scene. Support for Axis Zipstream video compression technology lowers bandwidth and storage use. AXIS F41 supports two-way audio, input/output ports, Power over Ethernet, 8–28 V DC and one SD card slot.





Flexible installation The main unit can be installed in a sheltered area, while the sensor units can be placed in tight places indoors or outdoors up to 8, 12 or 15 m (26, 39 or 49 ft.) away, depending on the sensor unit and if a cable accessory is supported. The rugged and feature-rich AXIS F41 Main Unit is suitable for a variety of demanding applications, such as in casinos, stores, ATMs (automated teller machines) and vehicles.




WDR – Forensic Capture AXIS F41 offers WDR – Forensic Capture, which can be activated when the main unit is connected to an AXIS F Sensor Unit that supports this feature. Axis’ WDR – Forensic Capture enables a high level of detail to be visible in both bright and dark areas of a scene—an important consideration in surveillance applications. The technology is ideally suited for scenarios such as at entrances or in front of ATMs where the subject may be dark against a bright background, or in nighttime situations where the camera must handle low-light environments together with bright lights from vehicles, street lamps, signage and stores. AXIS F41, together with an AXIS F Sensor Unit, provides color video in light as low as 0.3 lux.

Video streaming AXIS F41 supports HDTV 1080p at 50 or 60 frames per second for 1080p sensor units. This is ideal for capturing fast-moving objects and generating smoother video. It delivers HDTV 1080p at 25 or 30 frames per second when WDR – Forensic Capture is used. For a 720p sensor unit, AXIS F41 delivers full frame rate HDTV 720p video.




Zipstream AXIS F41 supports Axis’ Zipstream technology, which is a more efficient implementation of the H.264 video encoder. It can lower bandwidth and storage use by an average of 50% or more for many surveillance scenarios. It ensures that important details are maintained while unnecessary data is removed.




Rugged, easy-to-install design AXIS F41 can withstand tough conditions such as vibrations, shocks and temperature fluctuations, which make it ideal for use in emergency vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and armored trucks such as those used to transport money and other valuable goods. The main unit has also been designed for easy installation in cabinets and small enclosures as all the connectors are placed on one side of the unit so that cables go in one direction and don’t take up unnecessary space. The bottom of the unit can also hook directly onto a DIN rail. With a built-in SD card slot, AXIS F41 gives users the option of storing video locally on a full-sized SD card. It also offers two-way audio and four configurable input/output ports for external devices to enable enhanced alarm management. An RS232 port allows for integration of external data to the video. The main unit can be powered using Power over Ethernet or DC power. Intelligent video capabilities include video motion detection, active tampering alarm and downloadable applications through the AXIS Camera Application Platform.

AXIS F34 Main Unit offers a cost-efficient, highly discreet solution for the surveillance of four closely situated areas.

AXIS F34 supports up to four AXIS F Sensor Units for surveillance of four closely situated areas. It enables a costeffective, highly discreet solution for multi-view surveillance, enabling simultaneous streaming of 1080p or HDTV 720p videos from four different areas through one Ethernet port. Quad view streaming is also supported. The unit offers wide dynamic range capability for handling scenes with high-contrast lighting. With Axis Zipstream technology, AXIS F34 provides a more efficient video compression, enabling lower bandwidth and storage use. AXIS F34 has two SD card slots for local storage of recordings, and supports Power over Ethernet and 8-28 V DC.

The sensor units can be mounted in tight places indoors or outdoors up to 8, 12 or 15 m (26, 39 or 49 ft.) away, depending on the sensor unit and if a cable accessory is supported. AXIS F34 is ideal for use in small stores and offices, as well as around ATMs (automated teller machines). It is optimized for customers looking for a simple, flexible and cost-efficient multi-view surveillance solution.


Streaming performance Each channel of AXIS F34 supports a 1080p or 720p capture mode and multiple, individually configurable streams. AXIS F34 can operate any combination of the two modes across the channels simultaneously. A capture mode sets the maximum resolution and frame rate. In the 1080p mode, the maximum resolution is 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) and the maximum frame rate is 12.5/15 frames per second (50/60 Hz). It provides the full viewing angle from a 1080p sensor unit. In the 720p capture mode, the maximum resolution is 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) and the maximum frame rate is 25/30 frames per second (50/60 Hz). It provides a cropped view for a 1080p sensor unit and the full view for a 720p sensor unit like AXIS F1004. In either 1080p or 720p capture mode, AXIS F34 supports quad view streaming, which combines separate views from four sensor units into one for simultaneous viewing. Each scene would take up a quarter of the display area.
