AXIS Surveillance Card 64 GB is a high performing edge storage solution optimized for video surveillance. Edge storage enables flexible storage solutions such as de-centralized video recording and may eliminate the need of an onsite server, DVR or NVR.


In applications with bandwidth limitations, live video can be viewed in low resolution, while high resolution video is recorded locally on AXIS Surveillance Card 64 GB. Combined with Axis Zipstream technology, even high resolution video can be recorded effectively local on AXIS Surveillance Card 64 GB, both for primary storage or as redundancy for failover recording in case of lost connections.




Self-contained recording solution AXIS Surveillance Card 64 GB together with your SD-card supported Axis IP-camera makes a self-contained recording solution. It allows for surveillance and recording in locations even without network connectivity.




How much storage do I need? The retention time of the card depends on how the cameras are configured to record at different frame rates and resolutions, depending on motion detection, alarm events and hours of the day. As use case we provide two predefined scenarios with a 1080p HDTV camera with medium level of Zipstream provided from AXIS Site designer for comparison: Reception 12 hours day time operations with recording triggered by motion detection. An environment with medium motion and smaller number of people passing daily compared to the retail environment. There will be few recordings at nighttime, due to the reduced movement. Retail 12 hours day time operations with medium motion for a retail environment. More people in motion during opening hours compared to reception.
