Excel Cat6A Patch Leads

Excel Category 6A – Augmented Category 6 – cables, and associated connectors, take the performance capabilities of copper infrastructure to new levels. The cable has been designed to exceed the ISO/IEC, TIA and CENELEC for Category 6A/Augmented Category 6 component requirements. This delivers Class EA/Augmented Category 6 link performance over distances of up 90 metres which supports the applications including 10GBASE-T, 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

Each Excel Category 6A patch lead consists of 4 twisted pairs of 26AWG stranded copper wires, with a blade booted RJ-45 plug fitted to each end. The slimline blade boot make the patch leads suitable with high density switches and equipment.

Performance Overview
Excel Category 6A patch leads are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the ISO, EN and TIA standards for Cat 6A. A range of performance characteristics are tested up to 500MHz including return loss, attenuation and near and far end crosstalk (NEXT and FEXT) for which both worst case and power sum tests are completed. The ensures the performance of the installed channels.

Staggered pin RJ45 shielded plugs, terminate the cable, and each lead is fitted with colour coded slimline molded boots, suitable for use in high density router or switch blades.

Excel Category 6A S/FTP High Density patch leads are manufactured and tested to ISO 11801, EN 50173 & TIA/EIA 568 requirements for patch cord assemblies and provide optimum performance levels for structured cabling installations.

Plugging and un-plugging is achieved through the unique push?pull design of the RJ45 connector and the use of a special tool (available separately) which extends the grip and removes the necessity to release the connector with the fingers.

Excel Category 6A S/FTP Lockable patch leads are manufactured and tested to ISO 11801, EN 50173 & TIA/EIA 568 requirements for patch cord assemblies and provide optimum performance levels for structured cabling installations.

Excel Category 6A S/FTP Lockable patch leads provide added security, preventing unwanted disconnection on secure or sensitive circuits. Disconnection can only be achieved by using the key which is supplied separately to the Patch Leads.

Excel Category 6A Solid Core (U/FTP) Screened Harness/Switch Link Leads are constructed from 100-191 Excel Category 6A U/FTP "S" Foil Screened cable (horizontal cable).

Each of these leads allows the construction of two Switch/Harness Links or Consolidation Point (CP) Cables. The lead is manufactured with a high performance screened RJ-45 plug on each end permitting the lead to be cut into two at the required lengths. Slimline blade strain relief boots are fitted to protect the latch and allow connection to the highest density equipment.

Using the same cable as the horizontal elements of the channel assures performance and does not "use up" the stranded patch lead allowance.
