The Grandstream GWN7830 is a Layer 3 managed and stackable aggregation switch for medium-to-large business networks requiring extensive fibre connectivity and advanced control. Two Gigabit RJ45 ports and six 1G SFP ports support access and infrastructure connections, while four 10G SFP+ ports provide higher-bandwidth links. A 96Gbps switching capacity, IPv4 and IPv6 routing, advanced traffic management, comprehensive security and flexible local, cloud and on-premise administration support scalable network deployment. Its fanless design allows quiet operation.

Key Features

Flexible Fibre Aggregation
Six 1G SFP ports and four 10G SFP+ ports allow multiple fibre links to be brought together within one managed switch. Compatible single-mode and multi-mode modules support different connection distances, while compatible RJ45 modules provide copper alternatives. The SFP+ ports also support DAC cables up to 5m for short-distance 10G connections.
Layer 3 Routing and Stacking
Static and dynamic IPv4 and IPv6 routing supports communication between network segments, with RIP, RIPng, OSPF, OSPFv3 and BGP available for different network requirements. Up to four compatible switches can form one logical stack for unified configuration and expansion, while link aggregation increases bandwidth and provides link resilience, including across stacked switches.
Network Segmentation and Traffic Control
Port-based, 802.1Q, MAC-based, protocol-based, Private and Voice VLANs provide flexible traffic separation. QoS prioritises important applications and controls bandwidth through traffic shaping and rate limiting. IGMP and MLD Snooping conserve bandwidth by directing multicast traffic only where required, while Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs control permitted and restricted traffic.
Secure and Flexible Management
Authentication, DHCP and DHCPv6 snooping, ARP inspection, IP and IPv6 Source Guard, port security and DoS protection help defend against unauthorised access, address spoofing and disruptive traffic. Local web, command-line, SNMP, GDMS Networking, GWN Manager and compatible GWN router management provide flexible administration. Dual hardware boot and dual system-file redundancy support reliable operation, while CPU and memory monitoring, Ping, Traceroute, port mirroring, copper cable testing, RMON and Syslog assist fault-finding.
