The Grandstream GWN7721P is a 10-port Layer 2 Lite managed PoE multi-Gigabit network switch for small-to-medium business networks requiring faster wired connections and centralised device power. Eight 2.5-Gigabit RJ45 ports connect and power compatible wireless access points, IP cameras, IP phones and other network devices, while two multi-rate 10G SFP+ ports support compatible transceivers for high-speed links to other network infrastructure.
Each RJ45 port can provide IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ output at up to 30W within a 130W total PoE budget. Intelligent power monitoring, PoE Watchdog and continued PoE delivery during a soft reset help maintain connected-device availability. High-Speed Multi-Gigabit Connectivity
Eight 2.5-Gigabit RJ45 ports provide increased bandwidth for compatible wireless access points, workstations, servers, network storage and other devices. The two SFP+ ports support compatible modules operating at 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps, providing flexible connections to switches, servers and other network infrastructure.
The switch provides an 80Gbps switching capacity and 40Gbps non-blocking throughput, allowing all ports to handle high network traffic volumes without creating an internal switching bottleneck.
Intelligent PoE Power Management
All eight 2.5-Gigabit RJ45 ports can power compatible IEEE 802.3af/at devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras and IP phones. Each port can provide up to 30W within the switch's 130W total PoE budget.
Real-time monitoring helps administrators check power delivery and adjust distribution between connected devices. PoE remains active during a soft reset to reduce interruptions, while PoE Watchdog can detect an unresponsive powered device and automatically restart it by cycling the port's power.
Layer 2 Lite Network Control
Port-based and 802.1Q VLANs can separate departments, services and device groups, with support for up to 32 active VLANs selected from 4K VLAN IDs. Link aggregation combines multiple physical connections to increase available bandwidth and provide connection redundancy.
STP and RSTP help prevent switching loops and maintain network stability if redundant connections are installed. DHCP snooping restricts DHCP traffic to trusted ports, while loop detection assists with identifying potentially disruptive connections.
Traffic Prioritisation and Multicast Management
QoS controls include port priority, 802.1p and DSCP priority mapping, SP and WFQ queue scheduling, bandwidth control and rate limiting. These options help administrators prioritise important applications and control how available bandwidth is shared between connected devices.

Built-in Ping, port mirroring, copper cable testing and fibre-module monitoring tools help administrators investigate connection and performance problems.
