The Grandstream GWN7806 is a 48-port Layer 2+ managed and stackable network switch for small-to-medium business networks requiring high connection capacity and fast links between network infrastructure. Forty-eight Gigabit RJ45 ports connect computers, servers, wireless access points, IP cameras and other wired devices, while six 10G SFP+ ports support compatible fibre, copper and direct-attach connections.
A 216Gbps switching capacity, 108Gbps non-blocking throughput and extensive VLAN, routing, traffic management and security features support demanding network environments. Switch stacking, enterprise-grade resilience and flexible local, cloud and on-premise management options help simplify deployment and ongoing administration.

High-Density Gigabit and 10G Connectivity
Forty-eight Gigabit RJ45 ports provide extensive wired connectivity for workstations, servers, network storage, wireless access points, surveillance equipment and other network devices. Six 10G SFP+ ports provide high-bandwidth connections to compatible switches, servers and other network infrastructure.
All six SFP+ ports can accommodate compatible 10G single-mode or multi-mode optical modules. Direct-attach cables up to 5m are also supported, while compatible 10G RJ45 modules are limited to three and must be installed at intervals to allow sufficient spacing.
Layer 2+ Control and Switch Stacking
Port-based, 802.1Q, MAC-based, protocol-based and Voice VLANs provide flexible traffic separation, while QinQ supports more complex VLAN deployments. Thirty-two VLAN virtual interfaces and configurable IPv4 and IPv6 static routes support communication between network segments, with DHCP server and relay functions assisting address distribution.
Stacking combines multiple physical switches into one virtual system for unified configuration and management. This allows network capacity to be expanded while supporting redundancy between member switches. Thirty-two link aggregation groups can increase connection bandwidth and provide link resilience, including aggregation across stacked devices.
Traffic and Multicast Management
QoS provides port priority, priority mapping, multiple queue-scheduling methods, traffic shaping and rate limiting. Up to 4K Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs provide detailed control over which traffic is permitted or restricted.
IGMP and MLD Snooping monitor multicast group activity and forward multicast data only where required. MVR supports multicast distribution across VLANs, helping optimise network bandwidth for applications such as video surveillance and conferencing.
Enterprise-Grade Resilience and Security
Dual hardware boot and dual system-file redundancy help maintain reliable startup and operation if a software or storage fault occurs. The switch also monitors its power supply and three integrated fans, automatically adjusting fan speed according to operating temperature and generating fault alarms when required.
Authentication, port security, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, IP Source Guard, storm control and DoS protection help defend against unauthorised access, address spoofing and disruptive traffic. Spanning-tree protocols, loopback protection, root protection and BPDU protection help prevent network loops and preserve switching stability.
Flexible Management and Diagnostics
The GWN7806 can be configured through its local web interface, command-line interface or SNMP, and managed centrally through GDMS Networking, GWN Manager or a compatible GWN series router. Backup, restore and mass-provisioning options assist with configuration and maintenance across larger deployments.
Built-in Ping, Traceroute, port mirroring, copper cable testing, RMON, Syslog and traffic statistics support monitoring and fault-finding. LLDP and LLDP-MED assist with automatic discovery, provisioning and management of compatible endpoint devices.
