The Grandstream GWN7811 is a fanless, 8-port Layer 3 managed and stackable switch for businesses requiring advanced network control. Eight Gigabit RJ45 ports connect computers, servers, network storage, wireless access points and other wired devices, while two 10G SFP+ ports provide high-bandwidth infrastructure links. A 56Gbps switching capacity, IPv4 and IPv6 routing, advanced VLAN, traffic-management and security features, plus local, cloud and on-premise management, support scalable deployment, monitoring and administration.

Layer 3 Routing and Stacking
Static and dynamic IPv4 and IPv6 routing supports communication between network segments without requiring a separate router for every connection, with RIP, RIPng, OSPF, OSPFv3 and BGP supported. Up to four compatible switches can form one logical stack for unified configuration and expansion, while link aggregation increases bandwidth and provides link resilience, including across stacked switches.

Network Segmentation and Traffic Control
Port-based, 802.1Q, MAC-based, protocol-based, Private and Voice VLANs provide flexible traffic separation, while QinQ supports more complex VLAN deployments. QoS prioritises important applications and controls bandwidth through traffic shaping and rate limiting. IGMP and MLD Snooping conserve bandwidth by directing multicast traffic only where required, while up to 2K Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs control permitted and restricted traffic.

Secure and Flexible Management
Authentication, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, IP Source Guard, port security and DoS protection help defend against unauthorised access, address spoofing and disruptive traffic. Dual hardware boot and dual system-file redundancy support reliable startup and operation. Local web, command-line, SNMP, GDMS Networking, GWN Manager and compatible GWN router management provide flexible administration, while Ping, Traceroute, port mirroring, copper cable testing, RMON and Syslog assist monitoring and fault-finding.
