    Grandstream GWN7801P 8-Port Layer 2+ Managed PoE Network Switch with 2 x 1G SFP & 1 x Console Port

The Grandstream GWN7801P is an 8-port Layer 2+ managed PoE network switch for growing small-to-medium business networks. Eight Gigabit RJ45 ports provide IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ output at up to 30W per port within a 130W total PoE budget. Two 1G SFP fibre ports support compatible transceivers for links to other network infrastructure, while a dedicated console port provides direct command-line access for configuration and troubleshooting.

Smart PoE controls support dynamic power allocation, configurable power schedules, port priorities and LLDP-MED power negotiation. A 20Gbps switching capacity and advanced VLAN, routing, traffic management and security features help maintain reliable network performance. Flexible local, cloud and on-premise management options support both individual switches and wider Grandstream deployments.

    Grandstream GWN7801P

    Key Features

    • 8 x Gigabit RJ45 ports and 2 x 1G SFP [Small Form-factor Pluggable] fibre ports
    • IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ output through all 8 Gigabit ports, providing up to 30W per port and a 130W total PoE budget
    • Smart PoE management with dynamic power allocation, configurable power schedules, port priorities and LLDP-MED power negotiation
    • 1 x RJ45 console port [for direct CLI configuration and troubleshooting]
    • 20Gbps switching capacity, 10Gbps non-blocking throughput, 14.88Mpps forwarding rate and 4.1Mb packet buffer
    • 8K MAC [Media Access Control] address table, 4K VLANs and jumbo frames up to 10KB
    • 16 VLAN virtual interfaces, 32 IPv4 and 32 IPv6 static routes, DHCP server and DHCP relay
    • 8 link aggregation groups and STP/RSTP/MSTP/PVST(+)/RPVST(+) support
    • IGMP and MLD snooping with 256 groups each, plus MVR [Multicast VLAN Registration]
    • QoS [Quality of Service] traffic prioritisation, queue scheduling, traffic shaping, rate limiting and 128 ACLs [Access Control Lists]
    • 802.1X and MAC authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, port security, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection and IP Source Guard
    • Local web, CLI, SNMP, GDMS Networking, GWN Manager and GWN router management, with integrated diagnostic tools
    • Fanless design with desktop, wall or rack mounting

    Grandstream GWN7801P

    Layer 2+ Network Control
The GWN7801P supports port-based, 802.1Q, MAC-based, protocol-based and Voice VLANs, together with QinQ for more sophisticated traffic segmentation. Sixteen VLAN virtual interfaces and configurable IPv4 and IPv6 static routes support communication between network segments, while DHCP server and relay functions assist with address distribution.

Link aggregation combines connections to increase bandwidth and provide redundancy. Spanning tree and loop protection help maintain network stability, while IGMP and MLD snooping manage multicast traffic for applications such as video surveillance and conferencing.

    Smart PoE Power Management
All eight Gigabit ports can power compatible IEEE 802.3af/at devices such as IP phones, IP cameras and wireless access points. Each port can provide up to 30W within the switch's 130W total PoE budget, with dynamic power allocation helping distribute the available output according to connected-device requirements.

Administrators can configure individual port power limits, power schedules and port priorities through the web interface. LLDP-MED supports dynamic power negotiation, while priority settings determine which devices continue receiving power if demand exceeds the available budget.

    Traffic Management and Security
QoS provides port priority, priority mapping, queue scheduling, traffic shaping and rate limiting for controlling network traffic. ACLs filter Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6 packets, while IP/MAC/VLAN/port binding, authentication, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, IP Source Guard and DoS protection help defend the network against unauthorised access and common attacks.

    Flexible Management and Diagnostics
The switch can be configured and monitored through its local web interface, CLI, SNMP, GDMS Networking, GWN Manager or a compatible GWN series router. Its console port provides direct CLI access from a connected computer or terminal, while port mirroring, copper cable testing, fibre module monitoring, Ping, Ping Watchdog, Traceroute, Syslog and traffic statistics support network monitoring and fault-finding.

    Key Benefits

    • Connects and powers up to eight compatible Gigabit network devices
    • Provides a 130W PoE budget with intelligent allocation and per-port power controls
    • Adds two fibre ports for network uplinks and direct console access for configuration and troubleshooting
    • Separates departments, services, voice and surveillance traffic using advanced VLAN options
    • Supports fixed IPv4 and IPv6 routes between network segments
    • Prioritises important applications and controls bandwidth use
    • Optimises multicast traffic for surveillance, conferencing and other video applications
    • Combines extensive network security with integrated monitoring and diagnostic tools
    • Supports local, cloud and on-premise management with flexible desktop, wall or rack installation
