The Grandstream GWN7801 is an 8-port Layer 2+ managed network switch for growing small-to-medium business networks. Eight Gigabit RJ45 ports connect wired network devices, while two 1G SFP fibre ports support compatible transceivers for links to other network infrastructure. A dedicated console port provides direct command-line access for configuration and troubleshooting.
A 20Gbps switching capacity and advanced VLAN, routing, traffic management and security features help maintain reliable network performance. Flexible local, cloud and on-premise management options support both individual switches and wider Grandstream deployments.

Key Features

Layer 2+ Network Control
The GWN7801 supports port-based, 802.1Q, MAC-based, protocol-based and Voice VLANs, together with QinQ for more sophisticated traffic segmentation. Sixteen VLAN virtual interfaces and configurable IPv4 and IPv6 static routes support communication between network segments, while DHCP server and relay functions assist with address distribution.
Link aggregation combines connections to increase bandwidth and provide redundancy. Spanning tree and loop protection help maintain network stability, while IGMP and MLD snooping manage multicast traffic for applications such as video surveillance and conferencing.
Traffic Management and Security
QoS provides port priority, priority mapping, queue scheduling, traffic shaping and rate limiting for controlling network traffic. ACLs filter Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6 packets, while IP/MAC/VLAN/port binding, authentication, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection, IP Source Guard and DoS protection help defend the network against unauthorised access and common attacks.
Flexible Management and Diagnostics
The switch can be configured and monitored through its local web interface, CLI, SNMP, GDMS Networking, GWN Manager or a compatible GWN series router. Its console port provides direct CLI access from a connected computer or terminal, while port mirroring, copper cable testing, fibre module monitoring, Ping, Ping Watchdog, Traceroute, Syslog and traffic statistics support network monitoring and fault-finding.
Key Benefits

Comms Express offers GWN7800 Series Layer 2+ managed switches, along with many others in Grandstream Managed Network Switches including:
