The HPE S4A31A#ACC Instant On Switch Series 1940 provides 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports with smart-managed Layer 2+ networking, making it suitable for connecting computers, access points, VoIP phones, cameras and other network devices. With Class 4 PoE across all 24 RJ-45 ports and a total 240W PoE budget, it can supply power and data over compatible Ethernet connections while reducing the need for separate power supplies.
All 24 ports support 10/100/1000BASE-T connectivity and Class 4 PoE, allowing compatible devices to receive both network connectivity and power through Ethernet cabling. The 240W power budget provides capacity for multiple powered devices across the network.
Four SFP+ uplink ports support 1GbE and 10GbE connections, providing higher-speed links for network aggregation, servers, storage systems and other compatible equipment. This gives the switch additional bandwidth for networks with increasing data demands.
The Instant On 1940 can be configured and monitored through the HPE Networking Instant On cloud portal or mobile application. Management features include VLAN configuration, link aggregation, access control lists, static routing and Spanning Tree Protocol support, giving administrators greater control over connected devices and network traffic.
Security features include traffic segmentation, access control and management access controls to help restrict network activity. A USB-C console port is also provided for local administration and configuration when direct switch access is required.
