The S4A30A#ACC HPE Networking Instant On Switch 1940 provides 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four high-speed SFP+ uplinks for growing business networks that need additional connectivity and flexible uplink options. It combines smart-managed Layer 2+ switching with static routing, allowing network administrators to manage traffic between network segments while maintaining straightforward control through the Instant On Cloud Portal, mobile app or local web interface. With 10GbE uplink capability, a USB-C console port and a comprehensive selection of network management and security features, this switch provides a practical foundation for offices and other demanding small and midsize business environments.
Twenty-four autosensing 10/100/1000BASE-T ports provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for computers, printers, access points, cameras, VoIP equipment and other wired network devices. The combination of 24 access ports and four SFP+ uplinks gives administrators plenty of connectivity for expanding business networks.
Four SFP+ ports support 1GbE and 10GbE connections, providing flexible high-speed uplink options for connecting the switch to servers, aggregation switches, storage equipment or other network infrastructure. The SFP+ interfaces can also help accommodate longer-distance fibre connections when suitable transceivers are used.
The switch provides Layer 2+ networking with static routing for handling traffic between network segments. VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol and link aggregation provide additional control over network traffic and connectivity.
Administrators can manage the switch through the HPE Networking Instant On Cloud Portal, mobile application or local web interface. These management options provide access to configuration, monitoring and day-to-day network administration without requiring a separate dedicated management platform.
Security capabilities include TPM 2.0, automatic denial-of-service protection, access control lists and management access controls. These functions provide administrators with additional ways to control network access and protect switch management.
The 24-port configuration provides a useful balance of copper connectivity and high-speed uplink capacity for offices and growing business networks. With four SFP+ ports supporting up to 10GbE, the switch can connect to faster network infrastructure while continuing to provide standard Gigabit Ethernet access for everyday endpoints.
