The Teltonika TRB143 is an industrial M-Bus cellular gateway that combines 4G LTE Cat 4, 3G and 2G connectivity with an integrated M-Bus interface for remote meter reading and telemetry. The M-Bus interface can support up to 250 connected devices and can provide power to up to six M-Bus devices. A Gigabit Ethernet port and configurable digital input and output provide additional connectivity for monitoring and control equipment.
The integrated M-Bus interface provides communication with utility meters and other compatible field devices using the M-Bus protocol. It supports networks of up to 250 slave devices per segment, while the gateway can also supply power to up to six connected M-Bus devices.
4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity provides a mobile communication link for transmitting collected meter and telemetry data. The gateway also supports 3G and 2G networks, providing additional mobile network compatibility for suitable deployments.
A Gigabit Ethernet port provides a wired network connection for local equipment or network access. The four-pin power connector also incorporates one digital input and one digital output, allowing the gateway to interact with external monitoring or control equipment.
The gateway supports Modbus TCP master and slave functionality and can transfer collected information using protocols and services including HTTP(S), MQTT, Azure MQTT and Kinesis. M-Bus data can also be transferred over IP, allowing external software and platforms to access telemetry information.
RutOS provides the web interface and networking functions for configuring and monitoring the gateway. Remote management is supported through Teltonika Networks Remote Management System, while features such as FOTA, SMS control, firewall and VPN functionality support remote administration and network management.
The aluminium housing provides a compact form factor for utility and telemetry installations, with a DIN rail mounting option for cabinet-based deployments. The gateway operates from -40 °C to +75 °C, making it suitable for a broad range of indoor industrial and utility environments.
