The Teltonika TRM500 is a compact 5G cellular modem that provides high-speed mobile connectivity for industrial and IoT applications, with 5G Sub-6 GHz support delivering download speeds of up to 3.4 Gbps. It also supports 4G LTE Cat 19 and 3G networks, allowing the modem to maintain connectivity across different cellular technologies. A USB Type-C interface provides network data and power, while four SMA antenna connectors support external cellular antennas. The modem supports 5G Sub-6 GHz networks in both standalone and non-standalone configurations. It can reach up to 2.4 Gbps download and 900 Mbps upload in 5G SA mode, while 5G NSA operation supports download speeds of up to 3.4 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 550 Mbps.
For networks where 5G is unavailable, the modem provides backward compatibility with 4G LTE Cat 19 and 3G. LTE Cat 19 supports download speeds of up to 1.6 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 200 Mbps, while 3G provides up to 42 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload.
A USB Type-C connection provides both network data and power, allowing the modem to connect directly to compatible host equipment. The interface provides a virtual network connection, while the USB host must provide 5 V at 3 A when powering the modem through USB Type-C.
Four SMA mobile antenna connectors provide connections for external cellular antennas. The supplied antenna specifications cover frequencies from 617 MHz through 7125 MHz, supporting the modem's 3G, 4G and 5G cellular operation.
