The Veracity VOR-OB12 OUTBREAK PoE Splitter is designed to draw power from a PoE-enabled network connection and convert it into a stable 12V DC output while continuing to pass through Ethernet data. It is commonly used to support non-PoE devices within PoE infrastructure, reducing the need for separate local power supplies and simplifying device placement in structured network installations.
The unit extracts power directly from a PoE source and delivers a regulated 12V DC supply. This allows equipment that does not natively support PoE to operate within a single-cable network setup without additional local adapters.
The splitter is suited to environments where PoE switches are already deployed but end devices require traditional DC input. It is typically installed inline between the PoE source and the powered device, supporting flexible equipment placement across a network layout.
Veracity's OUTBREAK lets you upgrade network equipment such as IP cameras to be fully POE compatible.
Simply connect OUTBREAK in line with the IP camera's network connection, and wire its DC output to the camera's power input. The camera can then connect to the network while OUTBREAK converts Power over Ethernet to the lower-voltage supply it requires.
OUTBREAK can be used to upgrade any low-power network (or non-network) device to POE compatibility, including:
