1GBE SM FIBRE KIT 1310/1550NM
Kit Contents:
1x 1310nm and 1x 1550nm 1000BASE-BX SM bidirectional SFP Transceivers, 2 x 2m LC-SC and 1x 2m LC-LC simplex SM patch cord and 1x SC/SC duplex through adapter
The TREND Networks R157052 1GbE SM Fibre Kit (1310/1550nm) is designed for field verification and testing of single-mode fibre links carrying Gigabit Ethernet traffic. It uses a matched pair of bi-directional SFP modules operating on complementary wavelengths to support communication over a single fibre strand, making it suitable for installation checks, commissioning tasks, and fault identification across long-distance fibre runs.
This kit is used during installation and maintenance work to confirm that single-mode fibre links are carrying stable Gigabit Ethernet signals. It allows engineers to check continuity and signal integrity before network activation.
The system uses two different wavelengths to transmit and receive data over a single fibre core, enabling two-way communication without requiring a duplex fibre pair.
