The TP-Link TL-FC1420 14-Slot Media Converter Chassis is a 2U, 19-inch rack-mount unit designed to centralize and power up to 14 media converters. With hot-swap capability and optional redundant power, it allows network setups to stay functional while managing multiple fiber connections efficiently. Built-in cooling fans and over-current protection ensure consistent operation, making it a practical addition for data centers, telecom rooms, or any network rack requiring multiple media converters.
The chassis is built for 19-inch racks, with dimensions of 482 × 309 × 86 mm. It is compatible with TL-FC series media converters and works with dedicated redundant power modules to maintain network uptime.
Each slot delivers 5 V DC at 0.6 A, powered by a 100–240 V AC input. Dual cooling fans provide airflow to keep all installed converters at stable temperatures during continuous operation.
Designed for environments requiring multiple fiber connections, it simplifies power management and reduces cable clutter. Hot-swap capability allows converters to be replaced without interrupting other units, and the optional redundant power supply increases reliability in critical setups.
Continuous operation is of great importance to fiber communication, so the chassis is equipped with optional redundant power supply and Hot-Swapping function which allows installing/removing the converter without powering off the chassis. Moreover, to stabilize the performance and extend the lifetime, two cooling fans are installed internally. Together with FC series Gigabit / Fast Ethernet media converters, TL-FC1420 is the ideal solution for your media conversion network.
