The Grandstream F-MM850-550M-1.25G is a hot-pluggable 1.25Gbps SFP transceiver module that fits into a compatible SFP port, most commonly on a network switch. It enables switches and other compatible network equipment to send and receive Gigabit Ethernet data over multimode fibre, using an 850nm wavelength and duplex LC connectors.
The module supports links of up to 550m over 50/125µm OM2 multimode fibre and up to 300m over 62.5/125µm OM1 fibre. Integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) allows compatible network equipment to monitor operating information from the module, while low electromagnetic interference, ESD protection and maximum power consumption of 0.8W help support reliable and efficient operation.
This fibre module is suitable for businesses, IT departments, network installers, managed service providers and data-centre operators creating or upgrading Gigabit optical links. Typical uses include switch uplinks and connections between compatible network equipment in offices, server rooms, network cabinets and campus environments.
