The HEX18GARC-KIT is an advanced HDMI 2.0 HDBaseT™ extender set engineered for high-end AV environments where uncompromised video quality and system integration are essential. Delivering uncompressed, unconverted 18Gbps 4K UHD signals, it combines HDBaseT3™ performance with expanded audio, control, and USB capabilities for complex professional installations.
Utilising advanced HDBaseT3™ technology, the HEX18GARC-KIT delivers bit-for-bit, uncompressed HDMI video and audio over a single CAT6A cable. This ensures the original source signal is preserved without compression or conversion, making it ideal for critical viewing applications.
The extender set supports the full HDMI 2.0 specification, including 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 UHD video formats. Uncompressed support for HDR10 and HDR10+ ensures accurate reproduction of high dynamic range content without loss of detail or colour fidelity.
HDMI video can be transmitted up to 100 metres, subject to video format, cable type, and installation conditions. For reliable performance and compliance with HDBaseT3™ specifications, CAT6A F/UTP or better cabling is required.
A built-in HDMI loop-out on the transmitter enables local display monitoring or cascading to additional devices. HDMI re-clocking on the receiver enhances signal integrity and helps resolve HDCP, compatibility, and handshaking issues within complex AV systems.
The HEX18GARC-KIT supports eARC from the display via HDMI, as well as standard ARC via HDMI or optical (S/PDIF) inputs. Returned audio can be routed to HDMI (eARC compatible), optical digital, or analogue L/R outputs, providing flexible audio integration options.
Integrated USB 2.0 support enables KVM functionality with combined data speeds of up to 350Mbps. Bi-directional IR and RS-232 pass-through allow comprehensive device control, supporting seamless operation across transmitter and receiver locations.
Bi-directional 1Gb Ethernet pass-through provides high-speed network connectivity between endpoints. Bi-directional PoC allows the extender units to be powered from either end of the link, simplifying installation.
