The Blustream BLUARC is a multi-format audio switching and processing solution designed to embed, de-embed, and route audio in environments where HDMI video is already being distributed. With support for multiple analogue, digital, HDMI, ARC, and Bluetooth audio formats, the BLUARC provides flexible audio management for both residential and commercial AV installations.
The BLUARC supports a wide range of audio input sources including HDMI embedded audio, analogue L/R audio, optical digital audio, Bluetooth audio, and HDMI ARC. These inputs can be freely routed to multiple audio outputs, allowing seamless integration between different source and sink devices.
Audio can be distributed simultaneously to Bluetooth audio devices, HDMI outputs, HDMI audio-only outputs, HDMI ARC soundbars, optical digital outputs, and analogue L/R outputs. This concurrent routing capability ensures consistent audio delivery across multiple zones and devices.
The BLUARC enables analogue L/R and optical digital audio to be embedded into HDMI signals, as well as de-embedded from HDMI sources. This functionality allows legacy audio devices to be integrated into modern HDMI-based distribution systems.
Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 output, the BLUARC supports SBC, MP3, AAC, APTX, APTX-LL, and APTX-HD codecs at 44.1kHz to 48kHz, 16/24-bit, 2-channel PCM. Bluetooth and analogue L/R outputs support volume adjustment for local audio control.
HDMI ARC audio can be routed to Bluetooth audio devices, HDMI audio-only outputs, HDMI soundbar outputs, analogue L/R audio, and optical digital outputs concurrently. This makes the BLUARC ideal for installations requiring flexible TV audio return routing.
The BLUARC supports all standard video resolutions from VGA to WUXGA and up to 4K UHD 60Hz, including HDR. Video is passed through without processing, maintaining signal integrity while audio is independently managed.
Bitstream passthrough of multichannel surround sound, including object-based audio formats, is supported in line with HDMI specifications. This ensures compatibility with modern AV receivers and immersive audio systems.
Control of the BLUARC is available via front panel buttons, IR, RS-232, TCP/IP, Web-GUI, GPIO, and CEC. Third-party control drivers are available for major automation platforms, allowing straightforward system integration.
When two Bluetooth devices are connected simultaneously, the codec defaults to SBC format. Bluetooth Low Latency (APTX-LL) operation is limited to a single connected Bluetooth receiving device. Audio latency and performance are dependent on connected devices, codec compatibility, and source material.
