The NETGEAR GS348TP-200EUS is a 48-port Smart Managed Gigabit Ethernet switch providing high-speed wired connectivity and PoE+ power for a wide range of network devices. It features 48 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ support, plus four dedicated SFP fibre uplink ports. With a 380W total PoE budget, L2+/L3 Lite networking features and web-based management, it provides extensive connectivity for access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones and other powered devices.
The switch provides 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports supporting 10/100/1000Mbps connections. Auto-negotiation allows connected devices to establish the appropriate Ethernet speed, while the high port count provides extensive connectivity for computers, access points, cameras, phones and other network equipment.
All 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports support IEEE 802.3at PoE+, allowing compatible powered devices to receive both network connectivity and electrical power through Ethernet cabling. The switch provides a 380W total PoE budget, with up to 30W available from an individual PoE+ port.
Four dedicated SFP ports provide 1000BASE-X fibre uplink connectivity for linking the switch with compatible network equipment. These ports provide additional options for connecting to fibre-based network backbones and other switches over longer distances.
The switch provides advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 Lite functionality including VLANs, VLAN routing, static routing, link aggregation and multicast management. Up to 64 VLANs are supported, with IPv4 and IPv6 static routes available for local network traffic management.
Security features include L2, L3 and L4 access control lists for managing network traffic, together with IEEE 802.1X authentication and RADIUS support. DoS prevention and dynamic VLAN assignment provide additional controls for managing connected devices and network access.
QoS functions provide traffic prioritisation using port-based settings, IEEE 802.1p priority markings and DSCP values. These features allow important traffic such as voice and video data to receive appropriate priority across the network.
IGMP snooping and multicast management help control multicast traffic across connected network devices. Link aggregation can combine multiple Ethernet connections to provide additional bandwidth and redundancy between compatible network equipment.
The NETGEAR web-based management interface provides access to network configuration, monitoring and PoE controls. Per-port PoE settings allow administrators to manage power delivery to connected devices according to network requirements.
The 1U rackmount chassis measures 440 x 316 x 43mm and can be installed in a standard network cabinet or rack. Two internal fans provide cooling, while the switch supports operating temperatures from 0°C to 50°C.
IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet helps reduce power consumption during periods of lower network activity. The switch uses an internal 100-240V AC power supply and has a maximum power consumption of 431W.
