The CE J9284D HPE Aruba Compatible Direct Attach Copper Cable provides a 5m passive Twinax connection between compatible SFP+ ports for high-speed network links. Supporting 10GBase-CU connectivity, it uses copper media with SFP+ connectors at both ends and supports data rates of up to 10Gb/s.
The passive Twinax copper construction provides a direct electrical connection between SFP+ interfaces, supporting 10Gb/s network connections over a 5m cable length. It is suitable for short-distance connections between compatible switches, routers and other network equipment.
With SFP+ connectors on both ends, the cable provides point-to-point connectivity for equipment fitted with compatible SFP+ ports. Its MSA-compliant configuration supports interoperability across suitable networking platforms.
The cable uses a 3.3V power supply and supports operation from 0°C to 70°C, making it suitable for standard data centre and networking environments. Its passive construction also avoids the need for additional active components within the cable assembly.
