The Ubiquiti ES-48-500W is a high-performance managed Layer 2/3 switch built to handle demanding network environments. With 48 Gigabit ports and a 500W internal power supply, it can power numerous PoE devices while maintaining reliable data throughput. Its combination of PoE flexibility, multiple uplink options, and durable rack-mountable design makes it suitable for large networks that require consistent connectivity and power distribution.
Delivering up to 34.2W per PoE+ port and 17W per passive PoE port, the ES-48-500W can simultaneously power access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones without strain on the system.

Ubiquiti currently offers 1 year standard manufacturer warranty on equipment purchased through official UK distributors.
In the unlikely event that you have any issues with your Ubiquiti product within the 1 year of manufacturer warranty, please contact your account manager in the first instance. Our technical team will do everything they can to find a resolution to your problem. If a fix cannot be provided, then an RMA will need to be registered via the Ubiquiti Reseller Portal.
On all purchases made through Comms Express, we offer our customers options to upgrade the standard manufacturer warranty to a 3 or 5 year advanced hardware replacement.

The 48-Port EdgeSwitch™ delivers the forwarding capacity to simultaneously process traffic on all ports at line rate without any packet loss. Total non-blocking throughput up to 70 Gbps
The EdgeSwitch™ Lite supports an extensive suite of advanced Layer-2 switching features, protocols and also provides Layer-3 routing capability.
The Ubiquiti ES-48-500W provides two SFP ports that support uplinks of up to 1 Gbps. For high-capacity uplinks, each 48-port model includes two SFP+ ports for uplinks of up to 10 Gbps.
Sharing a total of 500W, forty-eight Gigabit Ethernet ports offer auto-sensing IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE+ or 24V passive PoE to simplify your infrastructure.
By default, the EdgeSwitch automatically detects 802.3af/at devices so they automatically receive PoE. For 24V Passive PoE devices, manually enable 24V passive PoE using the EdgeSwitch Configuration Interface.
The comprehensive UI is easy to learn and allows administrators to configure and monitor features in a graphical user interface. For advanced users, a Command-Line Interface (CLI) is available through telnet and SSH.
