The Teltonika RUT286 is a global LTE Cat 4 industrial router providing 4G connectivity with 3G and 2G fallback for IoT, M2M and remote networking applications. It combines up to 150 Mbps LTE download speeds with dual SIM and eSIM support, RS232 and RS485 interfaces, Wi-Fi 4 and two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports. Flexible 9-57 VDC power input, active and passive PoE, and multiple mounting options make it suitable for industrial installations where cellular connectivity and equipment integration are required.
The router uses a Telit LTE Cat 4 modem to provide global 4G connectivity, with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps. Support for 3G and 2G fallback allows the router to maintain cellular connectivity where LTE coverage is unavailable.
Two Mini SIM slots provide options for using different cellular networks, while eSIM support allows compatible devices to manage downloaded cellular profiles. Automatic SIM switching can respond to conditions including weak signal, data limits, roaming, network availability and failed data connections.
Integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Wi-Fi 4 functionality. Two RJ45 Ethernet ports provide 10/100 Mbps wired networking for connected equipment, with network configuration and routing functions managed through RutOS.
RS232 and RS485 serial interfaces allow the router to connect with existing industrial equipment and serial devices. Support for Modbus, DNP3 and DLMS provides connectivity options for monitoring, automation and remote management applications.
The router accepts a wide 9-57 VDC input through its industrial power connector and includes reverse-polarity and surge protection. Active and passive PoE options allow power and network connectivity to be delivered through Ethernet where supported by the installation.
The aluminium housing measures 83 x 25 x 83 mm and supports DIN-rail, wall and flat-surface mounting when the appropriate mounting accessories are used. An operating temperature range of -40 °C to 65 °C allows the router to be deployed across a range of industrial environments.
RutOS provides network configuration, routing, security and connectivity functions, while Teltonika RMS enables remote monitoring and administration. The router also supports SMS and a range of network and industrial communication features for remote installations.
