The Teltonika NTP001 is a GNSS-based Stratum-1 NTP server that provides UTC-traceable time synchronisation for public and private networks without relying on Internet access. It combines a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port with RS232, RS485 and digital I/O interfaces, making it suitable for network infrastructure, industrial systems and applications where accurate time distribution is required.
The integrated GNSS receiver provides a source of UTC-traceable time without requiring an Internet connection. GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellite systems are supported, allowing the device to obtain accurate timing information for network distribution.
The NTP001 can operate as a Stratum-1 NTP server, receiving its reference time from GNSS and distributing it to other network devices. NTPv4, unicast, multicast and broadcast modes are supported, with the server capable of handling more than 300 NTP requests per second.
A 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port provides IP network connectivity, while RS232 and RS485 interfaces allow time and data information to be communicated through serial connections. NTP time can also be distributed over RS232 and RS485 interfaces.
Three digital inputs and three digital outputs provide additional interfaces for connected equipment and system monitoring. These I/O connections extend the range of applications beyond standard network time synchronisation.
NTP authentication can be enabled using MD5 or SHA1, while the device also provides access control, digital certificates, X.509 certificates, TACACS+, RADIUS authentication and IP-based access restrictions. HTTPS and SSH are available for device administration.
RutOS provides the management environment for configuring network, NTP and GNSS settings. The device can also be managed remotely through Teltonika RMS, providing access to monitoring, configuration and firmware management functions.
With GNSS timing, Ethernet connectivity, serial interfaces and digital I/O, the NTP001 can be used where consistent time information is required across networked equipment. Typical applications include industrial systems, communications infrastructure and private networks requiring an independent source of accurate time.
