When inserted in Slot 1, any line card (separately sold) can serve as a supervisor engine module thanks to a redesigned traffic and chip-intensive architecture, increasing efficiency. Scalability and flexibility are guaranteed by the modular design, which supports up to 48 ports with full 10 Gigabit connectivity and seven (7) different types of line cards. Because of its Virtual Cluster Switching (VCS), which allows for smooth service failover in a matter of seconds, it is a complete network solution designed especially for SMB settings.
With a focus on scalability and flexibility, this innovative switch chassis supports seven (7) types of line cards (sold separately). The architecture innovation ensures higher performance at a lower cost, featuring a new traffic and chip-intensive design where each line card can function as a supervisor engine module when installed in Slot 1.
