The Vision Dual VSD 1500 is designed to fit seamlessly into a wide range of professional environments. It can be installed as a standalone tower UPS or mounted within a standard 19-inch rack cabinet using only 2U of rack space. The rotating LCD display ensures optimal visibility in either configuration.
Designed for conventional servers, rack servers, network switches, routers, storage arrays, and backup systems, the Vision Dual provides dependable protection against power outages, voltage fluctuations, surges, and electrical disturbances that could impact business operations.
The integrated AVR system automatically stabilises voltage levels without switching to battery power. This protects connected equipment from overvoltage and undervoltage conditions while preserving battery capacity for genuine mains failures.
When operating on battery power, the VSD 1500 delivers a clean sinusoidal waveform that is ideal for sensitive IT equipment and modern active PFC power supplies. This ensures maximum compatibility, reliability, and performance during power interruptions.
With operating efficiency reaching up to 98.5%, the Vision Dual reduces energy waste while lowering operating costs. The high output power factor of 0.9 allows more usable power to be delivered to connected equipment compared to traditional UPS systems.
Advanced EnergyShare outlets enable intelligent load shedding during battery operation. Less critical devices can be disconnected automatically, extending backup runtime for essential servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
The front-access battery compartment allows batteries to be replaced safely without shutting down connected equipment. This hot-swap capability minimises maintenance downtime and supports continuous business operation.
The VSD 1500 includes USB and RS232 communication ports as standard, together with an expansion slot for optional SNMP network management cards. These features support advanced monitoring, reporting, and automated shutdown across multiple operating systems and virtualised environments.
The intuitive backlit LCD panel provides real-time information on UPS status, load levels, battery condition, alarms, and operating parameters. The display can be rotated to suit both rackmount and tower installations.
An integrated Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface enables remote shutdown in critical situations, while Cold Start functionality allows the UPS to power connected equipment directly from battery when utility power is unavailable.
The Vision Dual incorporates protection against overcurrent, short circuits, overvoltage, undervoltage, excessive temperatures, battery depletion, and surge events. Its 300J surge protection capability provides an additional layer of defence against unexpected power disturbances.

Superior protection
The automatic voltage regulator (AVR) provides protection from surges, overvoltages and undervoltages, without battery intervention. Reduced battery usage ensures that the battery set is 100% available for mains power supply failures and is able to provide greater autonomy. EMI filters then provide further protection from voltage surges and transients. When the mains power supply fails, the load is powered by the inverter and receives a perfectly sinusoidal supply for maximum power continuity and reliability
High availability
An EnergyShare socket allows loadshedding and the shutdown of less sensitive peripheral devices to extend battery runtime for critical loads. “Hot Swap” batteries can be removed via the front panel for easy and safe UPS maintenance. For business continuity applications requiring long battery runtimes, battery autonomy can be extended up to several hours using ER models (versions 2200 and 3000) fitted with more powerful battery chargers. Battery test facility to detect deteriorating battery performance. Deep discharge protection to reduce battery ageing.
Versatility
Vision Dual can be installed as a tower or in 19” rack cabinets. The display panel can be easily removed and rotated to suit the type of installation required. Vision Dual is equipped with an emergency power off (EPO) contact that allows for remote shutdown in emergency situations. Cold Start function to allow the UPS to power up with no mains power supply present. Vision Dual models have a backlit LCD display providing UPS status information, load and battery performance.
Advanced communications
Advanced multi-platform communications for all operating systems and network environments: PowerShield3 monitoring and shutdown software included, with SNMP agent, for Windows operating systems 8, 7, Hyper-V, 2012, 2008, and previous versions, Mac OS X, Linux, VMWare ESXi, Citrix XenServer and other Unix operating systems.

Riello UPS uninterruptible power supplies power some of the most critical data centres and servers in use today. Within these environments, energy management is critical. Riello UPS models have always been compliant with the highest levels of efficiency in terms of energy protection and are classified according to a scale with 6 levels, corresponding with the efficiency value of the UPS with respect to the European Code of Conduct; this is known as the Eco Energy Level.
The Eco Energy Level system demonstrates how the most efficient UPS provide energy savings that allow the cost of their purchase to be recovered quickly compared to standard efficiency UPS , as well as how their use leads to significant reductions in carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
