The Netgear XS724EM-200EUS 10G/Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Easy Smart Managed Switch provides 24 high-speed copper ports alongside four dedicated 10G SFP+ ports for flexible network connectivity. Supporting 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G Ethernet, it delivers up to 560 Gbps of switching bandwidth and 416.7 Mpps packet forwarding performance.
The switch provides 24 RJ45 ports supporting 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G Ethernet speeds. Automatic speed negotiation allows compatible devices to connect at their available rate, making the switch suitable for networks containing a mixture of standard Gigabit and multi-gigabit equipment.
Four dedicated 10G SFP+ ports provide additional high-speed connections for fibre networking and uplinks. Compatible SFP+ transceivers can be used to connect the switch with other network switches, servers and suitable fibre infrastructure.
A 560 Gbps switching bandwidth and 416.7 Mpps forwarding rate provide capacity for high volumes of network traffic across the available ports. An 8 MB packet buffer and support for jumbo frames up to 12,288 bytes also accommodate compatible high-throughput applications.
Support for up to 64 VLANs allows network traffic to be separated into logical groups, while IEEE 802.1p and DSCP-based QoS provide traffic prioritisation. Rate limiting and priority queueing can help allocate bandwidth for applications such as voice and video.
Static link aggregation and LACP allow compatible network connections to be grouped into logical links. The switch supports up to 12 LAGs with up to eight members per LAG, providing additional bandwidth and connection flexibility between supported network devices.
The metal chassis supports desktop or 19-inch rackmount installation, allowing the switch to be positioned on a desk or installed in a network cabinet. An internal power supply keeps the power connection within the switch chassis.
A web-based management interface provides access to network configuration and monitoring features. IGMP snooping supports multicast traffic management, while IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet can reduce power consumption during periods of lower network activity.
