The NETGEAR WBE708-111EUS is a dual-band WiFi 7 access point that provides high-speed wireless connectivity across 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. With 2x2 radios, Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4K-QAM, OFDMA and MU-MIMO, it supports efficient connections for compatible WiFi 7 devices while retaining compatibility with earlier WiFi standards. A 2.5GbE PoE+ port provides the network uplink and power connection, while NETGEAR Insight and Engage management provide centralised control.

WiFi 7 Wireless Connectivity

Built around IEEE 802.11be, the access point provides dual-band wireless networking with 2x2 radios on both frequency bands. MLO allows compatible devices to use multiple wireless links, while 4K-QAM, OFDMA and MU-MIMO help manage data transmission across connected clients. The unit also supports 20/40MHz channels on 2.4GHz and up to 160MHz channels on 5GHz.

Network Management

NETGEAR Insight Cloud provides remote management through the Insight platform, while NETGEAR Engage offers centralised management through the Align Controller. A standalone local GUI is also available. The access point can form a mesh with compatible NETGEAR Insight and Engage access points, making it suitable for extending wireless coverage across multiple areas.

Security and Network Segmentation

Wireless security includes WPA3 Personal, WPA2 Personal and WPA3/WPA2 Mixed Mode. Up to eight SSIDs per radio can be used to separate different groups of devices, while SSID isolation, VLAN support and MAC address filtering provide additional control over network access.

PoE+ Connectivity

A 2.5GbE RJ45 port provides the network connection and supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+, allowing compatible network infrastructure to provide both data and power over a single Ethernet connection. DC 12V power is also supported when required.
