The Netgear GS748PP-100EUS is an unmanaged 48-port Gigabit Ethernet switch providing 10/100/1000 Mbps connectivity alongside integrated Power over Ethernet support. It features 24 PoE+ ports, with a total 380W PoE budget for powering compatible wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones and other network devices while carrying their data over the same Ethernet connection.
With 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps connections, the switch provides extensive wired connectivity for computers, printers, storage systems and other network equipment. Auto Uplink functionality helps simplify connections to other switches and network devices.
Twenty-four ports support IEEE 802.3af PoE, while a further 24 ports support IEEE 802.3at PoE+. Each PoE+ port can provide up to 30W, with a combined 380W power budget available for compatible devices such as wireless access points, IP surveillance cameras and VoIP phones.
The switch provides plug-and-play operation without requiring software installation or network configuration. This makes it straightforward to add additional wired connections and PoE devices without the administration associated with a managed switch.
Non-blocking switching allows connected devices to communicate at wire speed, while an 8K MAC address table and 1.5MB packet buffer support network traffic across the 48 ports. The switch also supports jumbo frames up to 12,288 bytes and IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service for traffic prioritisation.
