The NETGEAR GS108EPP-100EUS is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Easy Smart High-Power PoE+ switch that provides network connectivity and power delivery for compatible devices. It features eight 10/100/1000 RJ45 copper ports, with all eight supporting IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and a total PoE budget of up to 123W. QoS, VLAN management, PoE controls and Energy Efficient Ethernet provide useful network management functions, while the fanless chassis supports quiet desktop or wall-mounted installations.
Eight 10/100/1000 RJ45 copper ports provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for computers, wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones and other network equipment. Auto Uplink allows the ports to automatically detect the appropriate connection when linking the switch to another network device.
All eight Gigabit Ethernet ports support IEEE 802.3at PoE+, allowing compatible powered devices to receive network data and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable. Up to 30W can be supplied through an individual port, with a total PoE budget of up to 123W across the switch.
The Easy Smart management interface provides fundamental controls for connected devices and network traffic. Port-based and 802.1Q VLAN support allows network traffic to be separated into logical groups, while IEEE 802.1p QoS provides traffic prioritisation according to packet priority.
PoE management functions provide control over PoE prioritisation, individual port power limits and PoE scheduling. These features allow the available power budget to be allocated according to the requirements of connected powered devices.
Port-based and 802.1Q VLAN features allow network traffic to be separated into logical groups. IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service provides traffic prioritisation for applications where different types of network traffic require different levels of handling.
IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet support helps reduce power consumption when connected ports have light traffic or no active network activity. The fanless cooling system also provides silent operation without the noise of an active cooling fan.
The switch supports jumbo frames up to 9,216 bytes and includes a 4K MAC address table with a 1.5MB packet buffer. These specifications provide support for networks handling larger Ethernet frames and multiple connected devices.
