The N482-2M12-LC12 is a high-density 40 Gb to 10 Gb breakout cassette featuring 12 LC connections and two 12-fiber OM4 MTP/MPO ports. Designed for use with N482-01U and N482-02U high-density fiber enclosure panels, it supports up to five cassettes per N482-01U or 14 cassettes per N482-02U. Guaranteed compatible with recommended cabling, such as the N820-, N821-, N844-, and N845-Series cables.
Configuring the N482-2M12-LC12 couldn’t be easier. It installs in the N482-01U or N482-02U chassis with no tools required. Just insert the cassette into the chassis, and tighten its retention clips to secure it.
Then plug the LC patch cables, such as N820-, N821- and N844-Series, into the factory-terminated connectors using the cable’s convenient push/pull tabs, and you’re ready to go. Up to five N482-2M12-LC12 cassettes can fit into the N482-01U 1U enclosure panel for a total of 60 servers and up to 14 cassettes can fit into the N482-02U 2U panel for a total of 168 10 Gb servers (more than 10 racks).
Installation is simple, with the cassette being easily installed or removed using push/pull tabs to lock or unlock it from the panel; no tools required. Furthermore, each cassette features factory-terminated connectors that reduce the time and labor required of field connector terminations. Complies with IEEE 802.3ae (10Gbe) and ANSI T11.2 (Fibre Channel) requirements, with a maximum insertion loss of 0.35dB falling well under the IEEE 802.3ae maximum channel loss spec of <25dB. Constructed of heavy-duty steel housing.
