Longtan, Taiwan, is a beautiful city where nature and technology combine. The city is known for its beautiful Longtan lake, complete with a Buddhist temple in the middle. It’s also known for its top technology research institutes which reside there.
In 1989, a new technology company emerged.
In an unfinished apartment in Longtan, Taiwan, Dr Zhu Shunyi set about to develop the world’s first analogue modem. Headquarters later moved to Hsinchu Science Park.
A few years later, Zyxel developed the three-in-one data machine, which combines data, fax and voice. With several partners joining the project, Shunyi achieved his plans and the Zyxel group was formed.
After 30 years, Zyxel products are sold across more than 150 countries around the world. Zyxel connects more than 400,000 companies and more than 100 million users worldwide. They have become the most reliable online ally for SMEs and home users.
The entrepreneurial spirit of the apartment is still deeply rooted in the DNA of the company. Zyxel continues to disrupt the industry, creating new products which turn the traditional structure of IT on its head.
Zyxel’s Chinese name, 合勤, means “cooperative and diligent.” Something that all Zyxel workers hold close. In addition, they have a high focus on innovation and customer-centricity.
Zyxel is committed to building the networks of tomorrow, helping unlock the world’s potential and meeting the needs of the modern workplace; powering people at work, life and play. It’s why Comms Express partner with them.
So join us in wishing Zyxel a happy 30th Anniversary!
