The Zyxel NWA55AXPTP-EU0102F is an AX2400 WiFi 6 outdoor point-to-point wireless bridge kit that provides a dedicated 5GHz connection between two fixed locations. Supplied as a pre-configured pair, the units automatically establish their wireless bridge when powered on, providing up to 2.4Gbps wireless link speed and support for connections of up to 5km where suitable conditions and line of sight are available.
The NWA55AX PTP creates a dedicated wireless connection between two fixed locations, making it suitable for linking buildings, warehouses, farms, campuses and remote facilities where running physical network cabling is impractical. The bridge operates between exactly two units, with one unit configured as the Root AP and the other as the Repeater.
The 5GHz radio provides up to 2.4Gbps wireless speed for the dedicated bridge connection. Support for 20MHz, 40MHz, 80MHz and 160MHz channel widths provides flexibility when configuring the wireless link, while the internal 2x2 antenna has a 9dBi gain.
The two units are factory-configured as a Root AP and Repeater, allowing them to automatically pair and establish the wireless bridge after power is connected. The dedicated 5GHz radio handles the bridge link, while the separate 2.4GHz radio is reserved for management access.
The IP55-rated enclosure provides protection against dust and water ingress for outdoor installations. The units support an operating temperature range from -30°C to 50°C and are suitable for installations where outdoor environmental conditions need to be considered.
The bridge units support IEEE 802.3at PoE, allowing power and network connectivity to be supplied through the Ethernet connection. This helps simplify installation at locations where local mains power may not be readily available at the mounting position.
The NWA55AX PTP supports both standalone management and remote management through the Zyxel Nebula Control Center. This provides flexibility for installations that require local configuration or centralised monitoring and administration of multiple network devices.
