The Ubiquiti UNAS-2-B UniFi Network Attached Storage is a compact, desktop-form NAS designed to integrate seamlessly into UniFi environments. With dual 3.5" drive bays, 2.5 GbE networking, and PoE++ power delivery, it provides centralized file storage, backup, and sharing in a streamlined footprint suitable for modern network deployments.
The UNAS-2-B features two internal 3.5" hard drive bays, supporting flexible storage configurations with RAID 1 for data redundancy. This setup is ideal for shared storage, file protection, and consistent performance in single RAID group environments.
Equipped with a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port, the device supports multi-speed Ethernet connectivity, ensuring fast data transfers across compatible UniFi network infrastructure while maintaining backward compatibility with existing networks.
The unit operates using PoE++ for simplified deployment and reduced cable clutter. A 60W PoE++ adapter is included, delivering sufficient power for the system and installed drives while maintaining a maximum power consumption of 60W.
Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor running at 1.7 GHz and paired with 4 GB of memory, the UNAS-2-B is built to handle file operations, backups, and concurrent user access with consistent responsiveness.
Management is handled through the UniFi Drive application, accessible via UniFi OS. The device also includes a 1.47" color LCM display for real-time system status, along with Bluetooth 4.1 support for local device interaction.
The UNAS-2-B supports NFS and SMB file protocols and includes features such as personal and shared drives, file encryption, snapshots, and share links. It also supports Time Machine backups and client applications for streamlined access.
Backup capabilities include remote UNAS backups, CIFS/SMB server backups, and integration with major cloud services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, and Wasabi, enabling versatile data protection strategies.
Housed in a durable polycarbonate enclosure, the UNAS-2-B measures 135 x 129 x 223.7 mm and weighs 1.3 kg. Its compact desktop form factor allows for easy placement in offices, network closets, or workspaces.
