The SilverNet SIL STREAM 60L is a high-speed 60 GHz wireless bridge and repeater designed for reliable point-to-point connectivity over distances up to 2 km. Its precision beam antenna, compact IP67-rated enclosure, and powerful throughput make it well-suited for urban networks, CCTV backhaul, and other high-capacity applications where interference must be kept to a minimum.
Engineered for long-distance, interference-resistant links, the SIL STREAM 60L delivers gigabit-class speeds using unlicensed 60 GHz mmWave technology. It maintains stable connections over clear line-of-sight paths, making it ideal for bandwidth-heavy tasks such as live video feeds and critical data transfer.
With a compact form factor measuring approximately 12.5 x 11 x 12 cm and weighing just 800 g, the SIL STREAM 60L is both lightweight and durable. Its IP67-rated enclosure withstands harsh weather, while its precision beam antenna ensures minimal signal spill and improved link stability.
To protect transmitted data, the device employs advanced 256-bit AES+ encryption. Network administrators can monitor and manage performance via SilverNet's SilverView management system, providing oversight of throughput, link quality, and overall operational status.
In the UK, OFCOM have introduced a new ‘Spectrum Access: EHF’ licence to enable simple, flexible access to over 32 GHz of radio spectrum across four bands, including 57-71 GHz.
Any equipment operating with an EIRP of 40-55 dBm will require the owner or operator to have an EHF Licence. The use of this higher power equipment is also restricted to fixed outdoor use only.
The fee for the licence is currently £75, renewable every five years, and covers unlimited devices and locations.
