The Netgear MSM4310-100NES is a managed Layer 3 switch with eight 2.5G PoE++ ports and two 25G SFP28 uplinks. It provides multi-gigabit connectivity for network devices while supporting up to 551W of PoE budget when additional power adapters are installed. Layer 3 routing, VLAN support, NETGEAR IGMP Plus and AV-focused features provide flexible connectivity for demanding network and audio-visual deployments.

Multi-Gigabit Connectivity

The switch provides eight 2.5G Ethernet ports supporting 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps connections. Two 25G SFP28 ports provide high-speed uplinks for connecting the switch to higher-capacity network infrastructure.

PoE++ Power Delivery

All eight 2.5G RJ-45 ports support PoE++, with the supplied APS254W power adapter providing a 119W base PoE budget. Up to three compatible power adapters can be used to increase the available PoE budget to 551W and provide additional power redundancy.

Layer 3 Management

Layer 3 functionality includes static, policy-based and dynamic routing, while VLAN, QoS, link aggregation and spanning tree features provide control over network traffic. The switch supports up to 16,000 MAC address entries and has a 140Gbps switching capacity.

AV and Multicast Features

NETGEAR IGMP Plus, NETGEAR AV OS and Engage Controller support provide features for managing multicast traffic and AV network installations. The switch also supports SMPTE ST 2110 Grand Master Clock and Boundary Clock functions for AES67 and ST2059-2 applications.
