The MS130-24X-HW is a cloud-managed access switch built to meet the demands of modern networks. With a mix of multi-gigabit and standard PoE+ ports, it's designed for environments where bandwidth, stability, and power allocation to connected devices are critical. This model provides a straightforward path to supporting advanced access points, IP-based devices, and demanding applications with minimal on-site configuration.
Whether deployed in a campus, branch, or server room, the MS130-24X-HW is built to keep up with environments where traffic grows rapidly. The non-blocking 146 Gbps backplane ensures throughput remains steady even under heavy use.
This switch blends standard and multi-gigabit ports into a single chassis. That means it's equally prepared to power access points, cameras, and other PoE devices while also supporting higher bandwidth endpoints where needed—all from one switch.
Administrators can monitor traffic, manage firmware, and troubleshoot live issues without stepping foot in the server room. The cloud-managed interface allows for near real-time updates and changes to configuration, reducing downtime and manual upkeep.
With 370 watts of available PoE+ power, there's plenty of headroom to support dense deployments of access points, phones, and security cameras. Intelligent power management allocates wattage based on need, avoiding waste and brownouts.
Each unit requires a Meraki license, available in annual terms, which keeps the device secure and connected to the dashboard services. Licensing unlocks all management, reporting, and diagnostic features with no local controller required.
Meraki switches run the same operation system used by all Meraki products. The use of a common operating system allows a consistent experience across all product lines, from security products to VoIP phones. Meraki switches automatically connect to the Meraki cloud, download the configuration, and join the appropriate network. If new firmware is required, this is retrieved by the switch and updated automatically. This ensures the network is kept up to date with bug fixes, security updates, and new features
