The HPE Aruba Networking R8N88A 6000 Series 24G 4SFP Managed Switch is designed to deliver dependable, secure, and high-performance wired access for branch offices, midsize businesses, and small enterprise environments. Built on a modern, software-defined architecture, it combines simplified deployment with advanced traffic control, security, and flexible management options.
Powered by AOS-CX, the Aruba 6000 Series uses a modular Linux-based architecture with a centralised state database. This design enables near real-time visibility, improved resiliency, and fine-grained programmability through REST APIs and micro-services, extending enterprise-class capabilities into access-layer deployments.
Internally developed Aruba ASICs deliver low latency, deep packet buffering, and adaptive power efficiency. Selectable queue configurations and large buffers ensure predictable application performance, even during periods of network congestion.
Integrated security features include identity-based access controls, IPv4 and IPv6 ACLs, port-based authentication, and control-plane protection. High availability is supported through link aggregation, spanning tree protocols, loop protection, and proactive fault detection mechanisms.
Designed to reduce operational overhead, the switch supports colourless ports, role-based policies, and automated configuration changes. Aruba NetEdit enables centralised configuration, validation, and deployment across multiple switches for consistent policy enforcement at scale.
The CX 6000 Series supports cloud-based and on-premise management using the same hardware, allowing organisations to adapt as operational requirements evolve. Unified visibility across wired, wireless, and WAN environments helps maintain consistent control across networks of any size.
