The Extreme Networks QSFP-SFPP-ADPT QSFP+ to SFP+ Adapter provides a flexible way to repurpose QSFP+ ports for 10Gb connectivity. This physical adapter plugs directly into a QSFP+ port and allows a single SFP+ or SFP transceiver to be installed, enabling connectivity over lane 1 of the QSFP+ interface without requiring hardware changes to the switch.
The QSFP-SFPP-ADPT allows organisations to reuse existing QSFP+ ports for lower-speed 10Gb links. This is particularly useful when network designs evolve and port speed requirements change over time.
