A UPS isn’t just for datacentres
There is a common misbelief that uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are just for data centres, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Whilst UPS systems are very commonly used for data centre equipment such as servers, storage and switches, there are also a million and one uses for them outside this environment too!

The goals of the Comms and APC Power Challenge is to encourage users to showcase how they creatively utilize their UPS units. Participants are invited to share their stories, photos, and videos demonstrating how APC UPS has empowered them in various aspects of their lives.
The APC at Comms Power Challenge
Show us how you use your UPS. We believe that innovation and out-of-the-box thinking can transform a standard UPS unit into a valuable resource in unforeseen situations – not that the UPS isn’t helpful enough on its own!
Entering our competition couldn’t be easier, simply:
1. Post a photo of video of your UPS setup with some background on how you use it.
2. Tag us and APC in your post with the hashtag #APCatCommsPowerChallenge
The Prize
On top of inspiring others with your outside-of-datacentre UPS usage, we will also be presenting the winner, or winners, of the challenge with a free APC UPS!
The competition will be closed on the 31st July so get in your entry while you can!
